Hideki Tojo
General Tôjô Hideki (1884-1948), was a wartime leader of Japan's government. Because of his looks, he became Allied propaganda. With his close-cropped hair, mustache, and round glasses, the Allied forces created many grotesque propoganda of him and other Japanese leaders. Shrewd at bureaucratic infighting and fiercely partisan in presenting the army’s perspective while army minister, he was surprisingly indecisive as national leader.
